What is NAD+?
NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide — essential cellular coenzyme) is a Dinucleotide coenzyme (C₂₁H₂₇N₇O₁₄P₂). Essential redox coenzyme in oxidative phosphorylation (NADH/NAD+ cycling in ETC), substrate for all 7 sirtuins (SIRT1-7 deacylases), substrate for PARPs (DNA strand break repair), and CD38/cyclic ADP-ribose signalling. Declines 40–60% in most tissues with ageing.
